Course overview
This course guides learners on how to draft an amendment proposal for Appendices I and II in accordance with Article XV of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Over 40,900 species are regulated under CITES in their three Appendices. Amending them – including introducing new species, removing them, or changing them from one Appendix to another require agreement at the Conference of the Parties. The lessons will walk users through the preparation and submission of the proposal, and provides examples of past proposals and other resources.

Content and Duration
